Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea 1961 Full Movie Svenska

Amiral Nelson konstruerar och tar ut en ny ubåtstyp på provtur. Under provturen sker en global katastrof. Van Allen-bältet, ett strålningsbälte som ligger utanför atmosfären, tar eld och börjar sakta höja temperaturen på jorden samtidigt som det enda man ser på himlen är flammorna. Forskare anser att elden kommer att självdö vid en viss temperatur men amiralen håller inte med. Han tar ubåten och ger sig av till havs för att avfyra en missil med en atombomb för att på så sätt starta en kedjereaktion i bältet som ska släcka elden. Men, med meningsskiljaktigheter mellan amiralen och kaptenen på ubåten, manskap som inte tror på idén och vill av och en sabotör ombord så är utgången inte självklar.
